If the sun shines, you can make your coffee with solar power. We installed a photovoltaic system on the roof of the house and also a storage battery. We are curious to what degree we will be autonomous.
The house was built 2013 as KfW-house of energy efficiency 40. It has a very low prime energy level and the heating (in-floor heating) and the warm water are heated by a geo-thermal heat pump. The enjoyable rooms´ climate is regulated by a modern airing system.

Welcome to Bad Wurzach

The small lovely town next to the reedy marsh lands. The spa town is known due to the only health spa out of marsh in the area of the Allgäu and carries its name of “Bad”, which means “spa” since 1950. Besides the frequent concerts performed in the baroques church or castle, the town´s main event is celebrated on the 2nd Friday of July. This is “Blutfreitag”, the 2nd to the largest horse procession in Europe worshiping the holy blood.
Our apartment is located in the center of Bad Wurzach, just minutes away to the castle, the spa institutions and the marsh. On the holiday “Blutfreitag” you can enjoy the horseback riders preparing their horses from the apartment´s terrace and in the next street see the procession pass.
